What Are Emergency Stays?

An Emergency Stay is a verified short-term listing specifically flagged by the host as available for urgent, same-day, or next-day placement. These are not luxury listings. They are safe, clean, and immediately bookable spaces made available by verified hosts for people in genuine housing emergencies.

Who Qualifies for an Emergency Stay

  • → Individuals displaced by domestic or family circumstances
  • → People evicted without adequate legal notice
  • → Residents displaced by flooding, fire, or infrastructure failure
  • → Students who have lost their accommodation mid-semester
  • → Visitors stranded by unexpected circumstances including crime, illness, or transport failure
  • → GBV survivors in immediate need of safe housing away from a dangerous situation

If you have a room, flatlet, or property that can be made available on short notice, please consider registering it as an Emergency Stay. You set the price at standard N$ rates. NamHub flags your listing to people in urgent need.

Emergency Stay Host Requirements:

  • • Must be ID Verified or Business Verified on NamHub
  • • Property must have been listed for at least 30 days with no active safety complaints
  • • Must be willing to accept at least 3 same-day bookings per year
  • • Must maintain a contact number reachable 24 hours a day
