How We Collect and Verify Data

Every listing, contact, fare, and address on NamHub goes through a verification process before it is published. We do not aggregate unstructured data from the internet. We build structured records from primary sources.

Our Data Sources

  • • Direct submissions from hosts, businesses, and operators
  • • Namibian government public records (BIPA, Ministry contacts, NDP publications)
  • • Field research and direct telephone or in-person contact verification
  • • Community reporting and user-submitted corrections (reviewed before actioned)
  • • Partner organizations, industry associations, and NGOs

Our Verification Steps

  4. 4. Supporting documents reviewed for verification-badge listings

How Listings Work

For Properties

A host submits a listing. NamHub reviews it within 24 hours. Once approved, it appears in the housing engine. Contact details are gated — revealed via pay-per-reveal or subscription.

For Businesses and Services

Commercial listings are reviewed before going live. Contact details are gated. Public and government services are always free to access — no gate, no subscription.

For Taxi Operators

Operators are listed with their registered name, primary routes, and regulated fares. Fares are publicly visible without any subscription or reveal required. The fare ledger is a public good.

How We Make Money

NamHub is a mission-driven business. Here is exactly how we generate revenue — with no ambiguity.

1. Pay-Per-Reveal

Users pay N$5 to N$15 to see the contact details of a commercial listing.

2. Subscriptions

Hosts and businesses pay monthly or annual fees for listing management, analytics, and unlimited reveals.

3. Promoted Listings

Businesses can pay for featured placement in search results (always clearly labelled as promoted).

4. NamHub for Business

Enterprise data and API access for corporates, developers, and government institutions.

Platform Architecture

NamHub is built as a mobile-first Progressive Web App (PWA) using React, TypeScript, and Supabase. It works across all devices without requiring a native app download — just open it in your browser. The database runs on Supabase with real-time capabilities, powering the Live Data Ticker that shows users when directory information is being updated. All critical emergency contact data is cached locally so the SOS module works even with poor connectivity.
